Photo Recovery Manager Privacy Policy
Last Updated: December 3, 2025
Welcome to Photo Recovery Manager (hereinafter referred to as "this application"). To protect your information security and personal rights, please carefully read the following privacy policy before using this application.
This policy aims to clearly explain how we handle your relevant information (including but not limited to device information, scan results, and recovery operation records) when you use this application's file recovery and related services, and the measures we take to protect this information.
Please be aware that by downloading, installing, or using this application, you indicate that you have fully read, understood, and agreed to all the contents of this policy. If you do not agree to any terms of this policy, please immediately stop using and uninstall this application.
Protection of Minors
We attach great importance to the privacy protection of minors.
This application is primarily intended for adults. We will not knowingly or proactively collect personal information from minors.
If you are a minor under the age of 18 (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction), please be sure to read this policy under the guidance of your parent or guardian, and only use this application and provide information after obtaining their consent. If you are a parent or guardian and have any questions about your minor's use of this application, please contact us using the contact information at the end of this policy. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a minor without verifiable parental consent, we will delete the relevant information as soon as possible.
Data Processing Guidelines
We understand that photos, videos, and other media files on your device may contain personal or sensitive information. Protecting the security and privacy of this file data is our core responsibility.
Local Processing Principle: The core recovery function of this application is completed locally on your device. Files and data accessed by the application during scanning and recovery are stored and processed entirely locally on your device by default. This ensures your direct control over your personal information and maximizes privacy protection.
Data Usage Principle: The sole purpose of collecting and processing relevant information (such as device storage permissions) is to provide you with the core functions of file scanning and recovery. We solemnly promise that we will never upload the contents of your scanned or recovered files to any remote server, nor will we use them for any other purpose not specified in this policy, or share them with any third party.
Important Notice
Function Scope: This application can only search and attempt to recover photos, videos, and other files lost due to accidental deletion or other reasons that match specific file formats from your device's storage.
Disclaimer Regarding Recovery Success Rate: The success rate of file recovery depends on complex storage technology principles and is limited by various factors such as device model, storage media condition, and file overwriting. We cannot guarantee that all lost files will be successfully found or fully recovered. For example, if the device has been factory reset, deleted files cannot be recovered.
Please note that this application is only a utility software, and the above operations have inherent technical limitations. The developer assumes no responsibility for recovery failures caused by device condition, system limitations, or the file's own condition.
Information Collection and Use
To provide you with the core file recovery service and ensure its proper functioning on your device, we need to process the following information:
Necessary Device and Permission Information
To enable the application to adapt to your device and perform scanning and recovery operations, we need to obtain:
Basic Device Information: To adapt to different device environments and ensure the stable operation of the file recovery function, we will collect device hardware and system-related information, including device model, manufacturer, screen resolution, storage type and remaining capacity, operating system type (Android/iOS) and version number. Unique Identifier: We only obtain the device advertising identifier (AAID/IDFA) for advertising statistics and targeted delivery.
Storage Permissions: The application can only access your device's storage area after you explicitly authorize it. The sole purpose of this permission is to scan for potentially recoverable media files (such as pictures and videos) in the directory you specify and save successfully recovered files back to your chosen local location. We solemnly declare that this process is entirely performed locally on your device; we will not collect, upload, or store any personal file content on your device. You can disable storage permissions at any time in your device's system settings. Disabling storage permissions will immediately stop us from accessing the device's storage directory, but it will affect the use of core functions such as file scanning and recovery.
Service Operation and Optimization Information
To continuously improve application stability and user experience, we collect anonymized, unidentifiable data:
Product Interaction and Performance Data: This includes button clicks, page browsing overview, and whether the application unexpectedly closes (crash information). This information helps us understand which functions are more frequently used and prioritize fixing technical issues affecting usability.
Rough Device Environment Information: For example, your internet connection method (such as Wi-Fi or mobile network) and approximate region (based on anonymized IP address, not precise to individual location). This helps us analyze service loading under different network environments.
We promise that the information collected will only be used for the following explicitly stated purposes:
Providing and Maintaining Core File Recovery Services: Utilizing device information to ensure the compatibility of scanning functions; performing local file scanning and recovery operations after obtaining your storage permission.
Optimizing Product Performance and Functionality: Analyzing aggregated anonymized usage data to improve scanning algorithms, fix program bugs, and optimize user interface interaction flows, making the application faster and easier to use.
Ensuring Service Security and Risk Prevention: By analyzing operational logs and device information, we monitor and prevent potential fraud, abuse, or malicious attacks to protect the stability and security of the application ecosystem.
Advertising Display: We may use a resettable device advertising identifier provided by the operating system to share limited information with partner advertising platforms for delivering more relevant advertising content. You can reset your advertising identifier or disable ad personalization in your device's system settings (e.g., the "Advertising" section in Google Settings on Android devices).
User Support: When you proactively contact us via email or other means, we will use your contact information and problem description to answer your questions, process feedback, and improve our service.
Third-Party Services
To ensure the implementation of the application's core functions, optimize product performance, and maintain free service through advertising, we have prudently integrated the following third-party services. These partners will access relevant information to the minimum extent necessary to fulfill their responsibilities, and their data processing practices are subject to mutual agreements and their respective privacy policies.

You have the right to request the timely correction of inaccurate personal data relating to you.
Right to Erasure (Right to Be Forgotten) (Article 17)
You have the right to request that we immediately erase your personal data, especially in the following circumstances:
The data is no longer necessary for its collection purposes;
You have withdrawn your consent and there is no other legitimate basis for processing;
You object to processing and there is no overwhelming legitimate reason.

Information Security Protection
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. All data transmissions are encrypted using SSL/TLS, and data stored on servers undergoes high-strength encryption. We strictly limit employee data access permissions, and all access is logged and monitored. We have also established comprehensive security management processes, including employee privacy training, confidentiality agreements, and a security incident emergency response mechanism. In the event of a data breach, we will promptly notify you and regulatory agencies in accordance with the law.
Please note that internet data transmission and electronic storage cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You also need to properly safeguard your device and account information to jointly protect data security.
